Equivalent money value of "activism"
.
Say a person is working without salary to improve society, which is what we often call as activism. Then I define "equivalent money value of that activism" as - what will be expense if same service is provided to society via suppliers in market for that service, as their supplier price
.
Eg1. Lets say I am cleaning a slum, and say I am giving 20 hours every month, And say I am charging Rs 0. Now say a sweeper etc is willing to do same work, and he may be spending 50 hours a month because he is less committed And say he charges Rs 8000 per month (for those 50 hours in month). So equivalent money value of my activism imo is Rs 8000 per month
.
Eg2 : Lets say I am teaching maths to say 100 kids and spending say 20 hours a month. Say I am charging nothing. Say a teacher who can give education of same quality as mine, charges Rs 1000 per month per kid. Then imo equivalent money value of my activism is 100 * Rs 1000 = Rs 100,000 per month
.
Eg3 : Say I am providing very high level class-XII maths , science tuition to say 100 kids. Say the students are also very bright and hard working. Now say I put them in say best coaching class in the town, and say that coaching class is charging Rs 2 lakh per student per year. Then value of my activism is high - some Rs 2 crore per year.
