To my knowledge, they were

1) not only among the greatest revolutionaries of India but perhaps the first in the world to truly understand the importance of "procedure" (drafting) in governance & systematically documented & published it in their book “Chunavi Paddhati evam Jansatta” (Electoral System and People’s Rule), written in 1923.

To write this book, Pathik ji studied books worth ₹300 at that time (equivalent to nearly ₹24,00,000 in 2026). In that era, Indian books were available for ₹1, and international books ranged between ₹5 to ₹15. By that calculation, one can estimate that Mahatma Pathik ji must have studied such a humongous number of books just to write Chunavi Paddhati evam Jansatta.

24 years before India attained independence, in 1923 itself, he had already described the very processes on which governance ought to function. From referendums to the recall of judges, officials, and politicias, to the system of preferential voting—he documented every practical aspect of these mechanisms. He also exposed how such processes became the foundation of development and good governance in Switzerland, the United States, Australia, and other European nations.

During his lifetime, he authored more than 30 books.

The greatest curse of political streams is the endless “analysis of ideas and ideologies.” For centuries, sponsors of paid media have deliberately kept serious political activists across the world entangled in abstract debates over ideas and doctrines—while pushing activists into hollow slogans and superficial statements. Even the so-called biggest and most celebrated leaders and scholars (whom I call mere panchayati debaters or rhetoricians) spend their entire lives grinding and re-grinding ideas, yet never reach the level of concrete process—or perhaps never wish to.

After 1916, Mahatma Vijay Singh Pathik ji also successfully led the Bijolia Peasant Movement to its decisive phase—recognized as the world’s first successful non-violent Satyagraha movement.

2) Alongside his intellectual depth, he also successfully executed a powerful revolutionary movement. In the second major armed revolutionary attempt for India’s independence in 1915, led by Mahatma Rash Behari Bose ji, Rash Behari ji entrusted Mahatma Vijay Singh Pathik ji with the command of Rajasthan and Central India.

One does not ordinarily expect a field-oriented personality—someone capable of mobilizing, energizing, and electrifying the masses, of raising adrenaline and igniting movements—to descend into such rigorous, painstaking, and seemingly depths of procedural details of governance. It is the meeting of opposite poles North & South.

After 1947, British and Indian ruling / elite class ensured that power should not come into the hands of genuine revolutionaries like Mahatma Pathik Ji , Mahatma Batukeshwar Dutt at all cost. Therefore, they never brought citizens empowering laws in India; instead, they kept introducing laws that were progressively worse.

One such example is the provision that vote counting should take place three days after polling — a practice that, still continues today. This delay allegedly makes it possible for the ruling class to replace ballot boxes or manipulate the process if they wish to do so. In England, counting takes place immediately after voting.

मेरी जानकारी में यह सिर्फ भारत के ही नहीं बल्कि पूरी दुनिया के पहले ऐसी सशक्त क्रांतिकारी थे,

इस किताब को लिखने के लिए पथिक जी ने उसे समय के ₹300 की किताब (2026 के 24,00,000 ₹ ) पढ़ी थी, उसे समय भारतीय किताबें ₹1 में और अंतरराष्ट्रीय किताबें 5 से ₹15 के बीच मिलती थी, इसके हिसाब से आप अंदाजा लगा सकते हो महात्मा पथिक जी को चुनावी पद्धति एवं जनसत्ता किताब लिखने के लिए कितनी किताबें पढ़ी होगी ।

आजादी आने से 24 साल पहले ही , 1923 में उन्होंने उन प्रक्रियाओं का वर्णन कर दिया था, जिनके आधार पर शासन चलाया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने जनमत संग्रह से लेकर जजों, अधिकारियों, नेताओं पर रिकॉल और प्रीफ़्रेंसियल वोटिंग सिस्टम तक की प्रक्रियाओं से सम्बन्धित सभी व्यावहारिक पहलुओं को दर्ज कर स्वीटजरलैंड, अमेरिका ,ऑस्ट्रेलिया अन्य यूरोपीय देश में विकास, सुशासन का कारण को उजागर किया था ।

उन्होंने अपने जीवन काल में 30 से ज्यादा पुस्तक लिखी थी ।

राजनैतिक धारा का सबसे बड़ा शाप “विचारों एवं सिद्धांतों का विश्लेषण” है। पिछली कई शताब्दियों से पेड मीडिया के प्रायोजकों ने दुनिया भर के गंभीर प्रकृति के राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ताओं को विचारों एवं सिद्धांतों के डिस्कसन में उलझा कर रखा हुआ है, (और पोचे स्तर के कार्यकर्ताओं को लुगदी नारों एवं बयानों में)।

बड़े से बड़ा और महान से महान नेता और विद्वान (जिन्हें मैं पंचायतिया या भकर कहता हूँ) भी अपनी पूरी ज़िंदगी विचारों को रगेदने में ही बिताता है, लेकिन प्रक्रिया तक कभी नहीं पहुँच पाता या पहुँचना नही चाहता।

1916 के बाद महात्मा विजय सिंह पथिक जी ने बिजोलिया किसान आंदोलन को भी सफलतापूर्वक अंजाम तक पहुंचाया, जोकि की दुनिया का सबसे पहले सफल अहिंसक सत्याग्रह आंदोलन था

२) इसके साथ-साथ सशक्त क्रांति को भी सफलतापूर्वक अंजाम दिया , भारत के आजादी की दूसरी सशक्त क्रांति 1915 की, जिसको महात्मा राशबिहारी बॉश जी ने नेतृत्व किया था, राशबिहारी जी ने महात्मा विजय सिंह पथिक जी को राजस्थान और मध्य भारत की कमान सौपी थी ।

लोगो (Mass) को आंदोलित / उत्तेजित / आकर्षित करने,मतलब एड्रिनलिन के स्तर में इजाफ़ा करने वाला फ़ील्ड वर्क करने वाले मिज़ाज के व्यक्ति से इतनी नीरस एवं खपाऊ गहराई में उतरने की अपेक्षा नही की जाती है। यह विपरीत ध्रुवो ( उत्तर और दक्षिण) को मिलाने वाली बात है। महात्मा विजय सिंह पथिक जी ऐसे एक दुर्लभतम संयोग है ।

* 1947 के बाद अंग्रेज व भारतीय राजवर्ग व धनिकों ने यह सुनिश्चित किया कि सत्ता किसी भी हाल में महात्मा पथिकजी , महात्मा बटुकेश्वर दत्त जैसे असली क्रांतिकारियों के हाथ में ना आए इसलिए उन्होंने भारत में कभी अच्छी प्रशासनिक प्रक्रियावाले कानून नहीं आने दिए बल्कि बत से बत्तर कानून लाते गए , इसमें से एक यह हे की मतदान के तीन दिन बाद गिनती की जाए जो कि आज भी होती है , जिससे यदि मतदान पेटियों को बदलना है या कुछ गड़बड़ी करनी है तो शासक वर्ग कर सके, इंग्लैंड में वोटिंग के बाद तुरंत गिनती होती हैं
