Rigging the cable between Ballot Unit and Control unit - a better way to rig EVM The cable will take preferred candidate number from radio signal and give more votes to that candidate
.
There are countless ways to rig EVM and one of them is to change display as demonstrated by Hari Prasad video
.
Another way can be using cable between Ballot Unit and Control Unit. The cable is screwed inside Ballot Unit and is NOT detachable. If cable was detachable, then rigging is much easy, But it isnt detachable.
.
The Ballot Unit tells Control Unit which candidate number was pressed by the voter.
.
So following way rigging can work
.
(1) Say 500 EVMs are being shipped from BEL Bangalore to a Collector's office in say Ahmedabad
.
(2) Say a nefarious element like some CIA agent, in collusion with apex EC officials and apex BEL officials, get contract to ship EVMs from BEL, Banglore to Ahmedabad
.
(3) In truck, the men hired by CIA agent can open the Ballot Unit and replace the cable of Ballot Unit with rigged cable
.
(4) The rigged cable can have a circuit which does as following
.
(4a) Thru radio waves, it will take candidate number
.
(4b) Once candidate number is received, after first 100 votes, the Ballot unit will "steal" one of every N votes !! i.e. when voter presses say candidare#X, the ballot unit will say to control unit that voter has pressed candidare#A where A is preferred candidate
.
-----
.
Number of people needed
.
(1) BEL has to send new EVMs to some 543 Collectors across India. Each truck will take some 4 days on an average to go and 4 days come back.So one truck can serve some 40 collectors in a year. There are 543 collectors to be served,. So 543 / 40 = about 15 trucks are needed. So with 15 trucks and some 45 men, cables of lakhs of Ballot Units can be replaced
.
(2) The preferred candidate number has to be communicated to Ballot Units before election starts. All Ballot Units are at Collectors' offices some 30 days before voting. So one OB van like van has to come within 1 km from Ballot Units and send candidate number by radio waves and ALL 500-100 Ballot Units will get the number within one second. One wan can visit say 10 Collectors' offices in a day. The elections are spread across some 30 days. So with 10 OB wans, all 543 Collectors' offices can be visited.
.
So number of men needed is NOT large.
.
And number of policemen / guards to be bribed = ZERO !!!
.
So this is another feather in the cap of EVMs.
