The budget empowers Income Tax Commissioner to cancel registration of NGOs and Trusts on several discretionary basis !!!

The budget should confine to tax laws, fund allocations and clauses needed to administer it. If any other law is needed, it is welcome, but it should be brought as a separate bill, and should NOT be made part of budget.

And what is scary is that Income Commissioner can even shut down NGO under following pretexts.

* its income does not enure for the benefit of general public
.
* it is for benefit of any particular religious community or caste
.
* any income or property of the trust is applied for benefit of specified persons like author of trust…”

* its funds are invested in prohibited modes
.
An HCj or SCj can use above clauses and issue order to commissioner which will become binding on commissioner. (In general, every law-draft that gives power to a babu also gives same or more power to HCj\SCj )

So Missionaries can and will use the above clauses via Commissioners and\or HCjs\SCjs to harass Hindu NGOs.

So these clauses will be used by Missionaries to harass Hindu NGOs etc en-masse.
