EC declared 2 votes invalid ONLY after EC saw that even if these two votes are declared valid, then also AP = Congress would win !!

Lets do math
.
Shri Amitbhai Shah = 46 votes
Shrimati Smritiben Irani = 46 votes
Shri Ahmedbhai Patel = 44 votes
Shir Balwantbhai Singh = 38 votes
Total = 174
Invalid = 2
Grand Total = 176
(Gujarat has 182 MLAs,and 6 had resigned, and so voters = 176, and all had voted)

Now lets say 2 votes are valid. And say these two votes go BJP candidate Balwant Singh

So we have new HYPOTHETICAL scare as
.
Shri Amitbhai Shah = 46 votes
Shrimati Smritiben Irani = 46 votes
Shri Ahmedbhai Patel = 44 votes
Shri Balwantbha Singh = 38 + 2 = 40 votes
Total = 176
Invalid = 2 - 2 = 0
Grand Total = 176

Now EC cannot make 44 as winning count, because in that case we have 4 winners for 3 seats. So EC has to make winner count as 45
.
So ONLY one vote of Shri Amitbhai will get tranferred to Shri Balwantbhai.. And ONLY one vote for Shrimati Smritiben will get tranferred to Shri Balwantbhai.

So new HYPOTHETICAL2 total will be

Shri Amitbhai Shah = 46 - 1 = 45 votes
Shrimati Smritiben Irani = 46 - 1 = 45 votes
Shri Ahmedbhai Patel = 44 votes
Shri Balwantbha Singh = 38 + 2 (invalid) + 2 transfers = 42 votes
Total = 176
Invalid = 2 - 2 = 0
Grand Total = 176

Even then Shri Ahmedbhai Patel is ahead.

Now can EC say 44.01 votes will suffice to win and transfer 1.99 votes to Sri Balwantbhai? NO. But lets say EC legally could do that. Then also, total of Sri Balwantbhai will be

= 38 + 2 (invalid presumed as valid) + 1,99 (from Amitbhai) + 1.99 (from Smritiben)
.
= 38 + 2 + 1.99 + 1.99
= 43.98 , still below score of Sri Ahmedbhai !!!

Lets see other way
.
Sri Ahmedbhai got 44 votes. Remaining MLAs = 176 - 44 = 132
.
So to defeat him, a caniddate must get 44.01 votes at least (or rather 45 votes)

Now 44.01 *3 = 132.03 , not possible given that there are only 172 votes
.
And 45 * 3 = 135 , again not possible as there are only 132 votes after removing Sir Ahmedbhai's 44 votes

So what CEC did was as follows
.
(1) EC counted all votes (because votes were known anyway)
.
(2) EC saw that even if 2 invalid votes are given to BJP candidate Sri Balwantsingh, he cant win
.
(3) So EC made them invalid so that EC can fool 90 crore voters to believe that "CEC is independent of Sri Modiji" !!

Thats all folk. Drama ends.

All in BJP did good. They pulled many congress MLAs by paying them Rs 15 crore each !! Modiji had said that each citizens will get Rs 15 lakh !!! Well, at least he kept the promise for some MLAs !!! And if BJP had bribed just one more MLA, then BJP would have won all three seats !!! So not a bad show by BJP.. And congress was just lucky. And Along with MLAs, EC officers etc also made truckload of money. And public got good entertainment.

As per declaring votes invalid - EC had declared 10 votes out of some 90 votes invalid in Haryana Rajya Sabha elections some 2 years back !!! RSS candidate Subhashchandra Goyal, owner of highly patriotic channel ZeeTV won !! So EC people can make a lot of money by declaring votes invalid. And why not? If MLAs are making Rs 10 crore for selling votes --- why should EC guys stay behind?

RS MPs' salaries and perks combined are below Rs 1 lakh per month. So in 6 years, they make less than Rs 60 lakhs. And add a Rs 4 crore flat they get for few lakhs. Then also, total s below Rs 5 crore, And they are willing to spend Rs 100 crore to win RS elections !!! Connect the dots.
