Khesari daal grows like weeds. It tastes like most edible daals, .
But it has toxins which causes serious visible neurological diseases like paralysis in 3% to 5% population !!

And it causes mild problems like "chakker , fainting, depression" in a much larger population. The daal was banned by many kings in passed, and was allowed ONLY during famine times.

It was completely banned in India in 1961.

But ban was lifted in year 2015 because medicine making pharma companies. Their goal was --- as more people use khesari daal --- more will be sale of their medicines.

NaMo has so far opposed ban on this daal. SoGa / ArKe too havent demanded ban on this daal. And congress / rss / aap workers are also NOT demanding ban on this daal

Only we at Right to recall Party have demanded ban on this daal.
