There are 5 facts about Sri Vallabhbhai Patel

(1) Sri Vallabhbhai Patel had opposed Rashtrapita Ahimsamurti Mahatma Subhashchandra Bose, before as well as after Sri Boseji was Congress President. And Sri Vallabhbhai Patel had demanded resignation fro Sri Boseji. And Sri Vallabhbhai Patel had supported Duratma Gandhi all along . Rastrapita Subhashcharndar Bose was working to convince Congress workers to take weapons. And Duratma Gandhi, Jawaherlal Ghazi and Sri Vallabhbhai Patel and all Congress leaders had opposed him

(2) The elder brother of Sri Vallabhbhai Patel , Sri Vitthalbhai Patel, had written in his will some six months before death that "I am leaving all my property in the name of Subhashchandra Bose, and nothing in the names of my relatives. Because I believe that only Subhashchandra Bose can lead India to freedom and no other Congress leader can" !!! His property was worth over Rs 100 crore by today's value !! Sri Vallabhbhai Patel, after death of his elder brother, filed a case in Court, saying that his elder brother had become insane !!! And so court should cancel his will !!! The Britishers didnt NOT want Rashtrapita Bose to get this money. And so British judge cancelled the will !!

(3) Congress workers by majority of over 90% said that "Sri Vallabhbhai Patel should be made PM of India and not Jawaharlal Ghazi. But British told congress leaders that Ghazi shall be PM of India. Sri Vallabhbhai Patel quietly withdrew his name !! If Sri Vallabhbhai had made it clear BEFORE that he doesnt want to become PM, then Congress workers would have voted for someone else (because they all hated Jawaharlal Ghazi). But before internal elections, Sri Vallabhbhai did NOT decline and said that he is willing to become PM, and so workers didnt vote for any third person !!! And after internal election, when British asked , via elitemen and via Duratma Gandhi, him to withdraw his name, he withdrew his name.

(4) But after freedom, Sri Vallabhbhai Patel genuinely started defying British,. British wanted every Princely state in India to become indepdendent nation. But Sri Vallabhbhai Patel did NOT allow that. British wanted Kashmir and Hyderabad to become independent nation, but Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel did NOT allow that either. British could see that now Sardar Sri Vallabhbhai Patel will NOT obey British. And that he was likely to become PM if elections were held. So British and Jawaherlal Ghazi worked to delay the Constitution printing by making every trivial point an mega issue. And meanwhile, British slowpoisoned Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel . And elections were held ONLY after Sri Vallabhbhai Patel were passed away !!!

(5) But after independence, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had opposed land reforms in Gujarat as well as India. The law-order and economic situation in Gujarat today is better than all states, and the ONLY reason is the land reforms that started in around aug-1946 and went on for several years till 1954. Land reforms were --- Govt took over land of large landlords and gave away that land to smaller farmers and landless farmers. Sardar Patel had opposed it, but Communists who started the movement were successful in Gujarat because of sheer luck. The luck was --- Gujarat Congressmen tried to hijack the land reform movement, and tried to destroy the movement. They could hijack the movement, but movement grew so big that they could not destroy the movement !! And so Gujarat Congress leaders had to print land reforms law in 1948 !!! And before Supreme Court judges could sabotage the laws, the grassroot Communists workers moved very swiftly and got orders from Collectors for land re-distribution !! It was sheer luck than anything else. The reason why Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel opposed land reforms was because he and Congress leaders were very close to large landlords.

So before freedom, Sri Vallabhbhai Patel never really defied British. But after freedom, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel did defy British. So we must give him genuine respect and credit for that. But fact be told --- never really defied British before freedom .

So I request activists that in events AFTER freedom, pls do refer him as "Sardar". But in events before freedom, he should be addressed as "Sri Vallabhbhai Patel"
