On September 28, 2002, Salman Khan was alleged to have rammed his Toyota Landcruiser onto the steps of A1 Bakery at the turning near Mehboob Studios in Bandra. Patil was sitting in the car. Patil confirmed in his statement that Salman was under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place.[9]

On Saturday 12 March 2006, Patil was arrested at Mahableshwar for missing court sessions and sent to Arthur Road Jail. A non-bailable warrant was issued against him.

He died in Sewri TB hospital on 4 October 2007, because of tuberculosis at around 30 years old.

It goes without saying that he could have earned crores of rupees by changing testimony.. But he did NOT change his testimony. He was NOT allowed to give statement in court.

If India is still NOT 100% slave, it is due to people like Ravindra Patil, NOT due to drama kings like SoGa / NaMo / ArKe and slogan shoutters like Congress / RSS / AAP workers

So lets at least demand Padma Shri for Late Constable Shri Ravindra Patil.

And we should also ensure that his family members get pension equal to half the salary of Constable.
