Fake excuses of saving paper and trees given by ECI and "EVM-andhbhagats"

EVM-andhbhagats say that EVMs cause LESS burden on enviroment. The plastic waste and e-waste that EVMs generate do more damage than 20000 sheets of paper each EVM saves

And first, lets see how much paper is saved.

Average number of candidates in LS elections = 14 per constituency
.
Size of ballor paper = less than 2 A4 sheets
.
Most newspapers have at least 20 pages these days. So one newspaper will be equal to 40 ballot papers. But ballot paper is thicker. So lets say one newspaper makes 20 ballot papers only, and not 40.

Number of ballot paper India needs in Loksabha elections + Assembly elections + Panchayat Elections

= 3 * 85 crore voters
= 245 crore ballot papers
= say 300 crore ballot papers
.
300 crore ballot papers = 15 crore newspaper copies
.
All newspapers across India these days sell over 25 crore copies PER DAY
.
So TOTAL ballot consumption in ALL elections in FIVE YEARS - MP / MLA / Corporator --- is LESS what newspapers consume in ONE DAY
.
So you can see how dishonest ECI officers are when they say that EVM saves paper !!

And EVM-andhbhagats prefer to listen to such ECI officials !!!

And one EVM is used for 10 years and then thrown away

10 years = 1 LS + 1 Assembly + 1 LS + 1 Assembly + may be 2 bye elections at most
.
(Corporation elections use DIFFERENT EVMs)

1 EVM = 6 elections at most
.
1 EVM is needed per booth.
.
1 booth has 1000 voters = 1000 ballot papers
.
So 1 EVM = 6000 ballot papers
.
Weight of A4 paper we use in laser printer = 6 gm
.
Weight of ballot paper, which in general will be twic ethe A4 sheet = 12 gm
.
So 1 EVM = 6000 papers * 12 gm = 73 kg of paper
.
The burden that 1 kilo of pslatic generates is 20 - 30 times burden 1 kg or paper generates
.
And the burden 1 kilo of ewaste generates is literally 100 times burden of 1 kg of paper.
.
So the pastic waste and e-waste that EVM will generate is far far more than waste paper generates
.
So much for logic of ECI and EVM-andhbhagats.
