RBI is refusing to disclose following data
.
(a) Number of accounts where deposits were less than 1 lakh
.
(b) Number of accounts where deposits were less than 2 lakhs
.
(c) Number of accounts where deposits were less than 2.5 lakhs
.
(d) Number of accounts where deposits were less than 3 lakhs
.
(e) Number of accounts where deposits were less than 5 lakhs, and deposits were 30% from than previous year
.
(f) Number of accounts where deposits were less than 10 lakhs and deposits were 30% from than previous year
.
(g) Number of accounts where deposits were over 10 lakhs and deposits were 30% from than previous year
.
And accounts which have same aadhar / pan should be treated as one
.
Now in cases (a) to (c) , tax collection is zero unless income tax dept resorts to harassments for amount as low as Rs 10000 .

And in (d) and (e) , also tax collection will be near zero
.
Only in (f) and (g), there will be some tax collection -- say 20% to 30% of deposits amounts. That too, may not happen.
.
IOW, RBI is hiding more than revealing.
