According to reports, special commandos of the Indian Army went 3 kilometres inside Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and demolished seven terror camps.
General Singh said the operation to neutralise terrorists had since ceased and India didn't have any plans for any further operation, but added the armed forces would not allow terrorists to carry out any attacks in J&K or any major Indian cities.
General Singh said the strikes were launched after getting "very specific and credible" intelligence input that the infiltrators were being pushed to carry out attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and in some major Indian cities.
"The operations were basically focused to ensure these terrorists do not succeed to infiltrate India and carry out destruction, endangering the lives of citizens of our country," the DGMO asserted. "During these counter terrorist operations, significant casualties have been caused to the terrorists and those who were trying to support them.”
"The operations aimed at neutralising the terrorists have since ceased. We do not have any plans for continuation of further operations. However the Indian armed forces are fully prepared for any contingency that may arise," he said.

Seven terror launch pads were targeted+ across the LoC by special forces of the Indian Army during the 'surgical strike'. "Significant casualties have been caused in these strikes," DGMO Lt General Ranbir Singh said adding, "the operation has now ended." According to Times Now, 35-40 terrorists and 9 Pak Army men were killed in the strikes.

So Pakistan keeps terrorists just 2 km within LoC !! And doesnt give them guns or even grenades to defend themselves.

So all in all, news that Indian soldiers went inside LoC ahd did shootings may be right. Something was needed because previous paidnews given on 22-sep that "15 Indian paracommandoes went several kilometers inside and killed 20 Pakistani terrorists and injured 100 Pakistani terrorists" did not find may takers. So some action was needed to wash away the ill taste that previous dose of paidnews gave. .

And so this time, Army was asked to say "that soldiers went inside LoC and killed 20 pakistani terrotists and killed 09 Pakistani soldiers !!!". Because people dont believe journalists anymore and so NaMo had no choice but to ask Army to say so !!!

Well, this is a blunder of highest order. We have openly admitted that Indian soldiers went inside LoC and killed people. So Pakistan now say "that Indian soldiers came and killed 20 pakistani civilians" !!!!

In past covert operations were done. But in past, PM never asked Indian Army to acknowledge it openly. For he first time, Indian Army has been asked by PM to acknowledge it openly !!!

And in past, covert operations were to kill specific 2-5 persons. whose hideouts are known and are just a 1-2 kilometers inside LoC. It is simply impossible to kill 20 "terrorists":inside LoC because Pakistan isnt stupid enough to keep tents, camps etc so close to LoC. And soldiers close to LoC have rooms of brick walls and also bunkers.

(Aside : India has to keep soldiers close to LoC because Pakistani terrorists keep infiltrating. Whereas India doesnt have people who can infilitrate into LoC on feet. Why not? Because infiltrating on feet is possible only if there are people on other side who give shelter , food, information etc. JK area as secessinists who help pakistanis, whereas we dont have such people in PoK.

Even in Uri, the soldiers did have rooms with brickwalls. There were soldiers in tents, because on that day, number of soldiers were more than that camp generally used to have. And so some soldiers decided to sleep in tent, and that increased the death toll)..

So all in all, Indian Army has been asked to make a tall claim, Time will tell --- how much of that claim was real.
