Result of order your MP via SMS with URL campaign ---- BJP leaders forced to at least take a stand on Local Body Tax issue of Maharashtra.

We started "order your MP via SMS with shortcode of law-draft you want" campaign in oct-2012 and later modified it to "order your MP via SMS with URL to law-drafts you want" . On 9-sep-2014 started "order your MLA via SMS to cancel Local Body Taxes" campaign in MH. Please link https://www.facebook.com/mehtarahulc/posts/10152274018291922 for details . Many volunteers like Dipak M Rajurkar etc contacted 100s of shohkeeprs and asked them to send orders to MLAs via SMS. Net result was --- BJP leaders were forced to at least pay lip service to this local body tax issue. We are far from success.

My point is --- SoMoKe, SoMoKe-bhagats and CoBhAp members have always laughed at "order your MP via SMS with url campaign" and insisted that voting for tall leader is only voters should take, and wearing masks/caps and shouting slogans is the only thing activists should do. Nothing else will bring results and everything else is waste of time. Well, they are all wrong. IMO, ordering MLAs and MPs via SMS pointing to URL is working !!! There was small case, where in Ahmedabad, some 500 voters ordered his corporator to fix the road , and SMS also had threat that "if the road isnt fixed, then we wont vote for you in coming Loksabha election". And the road got fixed. And some 1000-2000 or may more voters in MH ordered MLA to remove LBT and at least a statement from apex leaders started coming. So ordering MPs and MLAs via SMS is working.
