If a person wants his Aadhar data to be become public. Then should GoI make it public? IMO, yes. write your opinions.

Likewise, if a person says that all his bank transactions and his land ownership details etc should be made public, then should it be made public?

This is important, because Govt employees are rigging data like anything. eg you may be sitting in Mumbai, and someone sells away your plot in Ahmedabad with mili-bhagat of local tahsildar, and you wont even know !! and the original record of your ownership may disappear.

If records are public, and kept with MD5 hash on torrents, then it will be impossible to delete or temper records. So theft may still occur, but tracing and proving ORGINAL ownership becomes easier.
