(1) NaMo's order to sell away parts of CIL = Coal India, NHPC = National Hydroelectric Power Corporation and ONGC to private, and eventually foreign players is bad for India. The argument that we need to sell PSUs to raise funds to make roads etc is a lie. (2) Those who oppose this should order their MPs via SMS to cancel the sale. SoMoKe-andbhagats and CoBhApSwaRa-workers support the selling out , even if buyers are foreigners !!!

NaMo has ordered Finance Ministry to sell some % shares of three PSUs dealing with natural resources --- CIL, NHPC and ONGC. Now most Indian companies are already in debt. So eventually, if not today, then tomorrow, these shares will land in the hands of foreigners.

The sale will raise some Rs 45,000 crore. Most Indian corporates are in debt. So even they buy these shares, eventually the shares will pass in the hands of foreigners. NaMo via paideconomists and paidmedia is giving 3 reasons for this partial privatization ---

(a) UPA also did the same
.
(b) Govt companies must be privatized to decrease inefficiencies
.
(c) we need cash to make roads, railways etc.

All three arguments are wrong.
(a) Countering "UPA did the same" is not worth the time.

(b) The inefficiencies of companies can be reduced by printing law-drafts such as Right to Recall over ONGC Chairman, RTR CIL Chaiman, RTR NHPC Chairman, RTR over Ministers in these dept, Jury System over the staff in these dept. TCP, etc
.
(c) And cash can be generated by wealth tax, inheritance tax, cancelling tax exemptions given to SEZ, cancelling tax exemptions given to charities and ALL religious trust, removing tax exemptions given to donations etc. And more cash be generated by renting empty govt plots as well. And cash be generated by reducing wastages in Govts in many ways. selling PSUs associated with minerals or natural resources (like hydro) is worst way to raise cash.

Further, sooner or later, foreigners will be allowed to buy shares of these companies. And so these companies gradually will pass in the hand of foreigners.

Sonia Gandhi, Congress, AK and AAP have supported this selling of PSUs. RSS-apex such as Mohan Bhagwat too has supported this selling of PSUs . Ask him for proofs. Also, SoMoKe-andhbhagats and CoBhApSwaRa-workers are shouting slogans in favor of this PSU sell out.

The citizens who oppose this sale should send order to MP via SMS to stop the sell out of PSU. Please see my next post for the text of SMS. And IMO, they should also send orders to MPs via SMS to print law-drafts like RTR over ONGC Chairman, RTR over Ministers, Jury System over PSU staff, wealth tax, inheritance tax, cancel tax benefits given to SEZ etc etc.
