I saw Singham (in theater or pirated video is less relevent). The movie is scathing insult on Sant Sri Asaram Bapu , and also a warning shot at Swami Ramdevji. The villian in the movie has all mannerism of Asaram Bapu, though no obvious reference is made and many differences are also kept,

The movie OMG made fun of Sri Sri ravi Sanker Maharaj via character played by Mithun Chakravarty. But he wasnt shown in very negative light. Here, in Singham, the character is shown as hard core villian --- a sex philiander, a rapist, a murderer, liquor addict, someone who deals with black money, who thugs his followers and siphons their money, distributes cash in voters and all that nonsense. The money also has dialogs which link villian with Asaram Bapu . eg in one dialog, Singham says to villian "I know you since you were black marketing cinema tickets and selling illegal liquor" which is reference to Sant Asaram Bapu. Loooong back, when Asaram Bapu was poor, he used to run pan shop (which IMO is a very respectable profession) and he was accused was black marketing of movie tickets. This was 1970s, when ticket black marketing of ticket used happen a lot. True or false, this is non serious allegation. But movie has it because it wants to link villian with Asaram Bapu.

There is no resemblance to Swami Ramdevji. But its a warning shot which says "see Swami Ramdevji, yesterday we made fun of Sri Sri Ravi Shanker Maharaj in OMG, and today we made movie that insults and makes fun of Sant Asaram Bapu. So please stay in orbit, or else, next movie will show you in negative light".

The movie has all nonsense like voter are selling votes, a party which resembles AAP is shown in great positive light, a character which resembles Smriti Irani is also shown in very very positive light and so forth. No character resembles NaMo. Character which resembles Barkha Dutt is shown in mild negative and mild positive light. The movie makes no reference that mediamen sell news in any explicit way, It shows that news-people go for TRP, but hides the FACT that all news are paid news.

Singham's skin is bullet proof !! A shower of bullet doesnt kill him, and single handedly, he can beat 100 with sticks, swords, knives etc. And when he shoots, the gooda literally run towards him with open chest to take his bullets as if dying by Singham's bullets will get them moksha !!

All that nonsense is fine and entertaining. But insults of Hindu sadhus is warning to all who wish to hear. If movie had come some six months ago, NaMo bhagats would have blamed UPA and claimed that "once NaMo becomes PM< such movies will stop in 7 days". I wonder where all NaMo-bhagats all hiding , given that a Ajay Devgan , the producer and star of the movie is a close NaMo colleague. .
