I request ALL of you to order your MP via SMS to change Juvenile Justice Act and reduce criminality age from 18 years to 15 years , and make it effective from 1-jan-2010, or else one accused on delhi dec-16 bus case will walk away with just 3 years in prison !!!

This must be my 5th facebook status post.

Delhi juvenile court is all set to announce a sentence of only 3 years on the 5th accused, unless we act.

IMO, he should be hanged, if allegations on him are correct

Why court will give sentence of only 3 years? Because in year 2000, Vajpayee, LKA, Arun Shourie and Arun Jetley passed drafted a law namely Juvenile Justice Aact citing that if any man below 18 years will face punishment of no more than 3 years. No matter what crimes he commits and how many crimes he commits !! Any heinous crime including robbery, abduction, rape, torture, murder etc , the criminal will be out in 3 years.

So what can we do?

Pls take cell number of your MP from Parliament's website. If his cell no is NOT listed, then pick cell no of any MP of his party from near by constituency in same state. Pls order him to amend the Juvenile Justice Act , reduce the age from 18 years to 16 years and make it effective from 1-jan-2010.

And pls request all 80 crore citizen-voters of India to send this order to MP via SMS

Pls note that Anna and Arvind Ghandy has appealed to their supporters NOT to send any orders to MPs via SMS, and specifically opposed this order. And as far as this specific case goes, both Anna and Arvind Ghandy has demanded that the 5th juvenile accused should NOT he hanged (even if allegations are correct) and he should be set free in 3 years. Arvind Ghandy has also opposed the proposal that name\picture of juvenile accused should be released to public. Subramanian Swamy also refused to make any changes in JJA with effect of 1-jan-2010.

So if you are fan or Anna, Arvind Ghandy or Subramanian Swamy, you will be hitting their imag by sending such order to MP via SMS. Ot you can decide on your own.
