How to find number of students, who passed from Municipal Schools and also later managed to pass 10th class and 12th class.

A few days back, I had asked question on my FB status on how we can guess number of students who have passed 7th class from Municipal schools, but not passed 10th class or 12th class later on.

Here is one method I propose :

All schools, municipal as well as private, can be asked to provide following data of students who passed 7th class. Lets call it list-7

1. Student's names
2. Father's name
3. Year he passed 7th class
4.Father's address
5. City zip code of address
6. School Code

The secondary board already has above data for all students who passed 10th class and 12th class.Lets call them list-10 and list-12

Using some software, every record of list-12 and list-10 can be matched with one record in list-7.

Now all unmatched rows in list-7 will give list of students who have passed class-7, but not passed class-10 or class-12,

Now here is another way to prove that the number is almost zero --- give a newspaper advt that anyone who has passed 7th class from municipal school, and later passed 12th class, can send xerox of marksheet etc. , and the firstnext 100 entries will get reward of Rs 500. This will cost newspaper ad amount plus atmost Rs 50000. And if no one applies, then , then give next ad ad "first 10 entries will get Rs 5000 each:' !!! And if no one applies, then we have reasoable evidence to believe that that number is almost zero.
