AK's goal is to give bad name to "Direct Democracy" and "Participatory Democracy"
. Which is why, he opposes ALL structured ways of Direct Democracy in the name of "give me some time, give me some time" and meanwhile AK expressly promotes chaotic ways like Jan Darbar, anti-corruption hot lines, SMS-voting with no reporting in SMS-counts and all this nonsense.
The Direct Democracy NOT implemented via chaotic forms like Mohalla Sabha or Town Meetings . It is implemented using STRUCTURED forms such as voting , referendum, right to recall and above Jury System. eg in ancient Greece, it was NOT that every dispute was resolved by public meeting of all 60000 Athens citizens. For a given complaint or disputes, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 , 1000 or 1500 citizens were called at random from whole voter list, and were asked to hear both sides and their witnesses for a few days, and then decide. There used to be standing body of 600 citizens chosen at random which would sit for whole month everyday to hear town's general issues. But while town or whole mohalla was NOT called . The town meeting used to be one a year for few days to make important announcements . The town meetings were not to resolve complaints and dispute.
One system which many AAP volunteers suggested to AK was from section-1.3 of rahulmehta . com / 301.htm . The system is to allow any complainer to personally come to city civic center or collector's office , and his clerk will scan his complain and put on website for fee. Later, it can be extended to video ii.e. person can state his complaint and recorded version will be put on CM's website. And any voter via SMS or personal visit to Talati office can add his name to complaint or remove his name. This way, there is well compiled list of which complaints are suffered by how many voters , and so forth. And Ministers or his staff can work on the complaints, and put replies on net, and inform via SMS to people see the replies.
But AK refused to implement any such TRANSPARENT website\SMS based system where complaint can come on website and voters can register their names via SMS. (proof : ask AK). After all dumb text on website doesnt fetch any publicity. And instead AK called all 1000s and lakhs of complainers across Delhi to attend Darbar. He did this only to drain out their energy. And create a show. And also to give a bad name to whole notion of participatory democracy !!
And if this goes on, people will soon say "I support corruption " !!
