How AAP returned the slum votes back to Congress --- Because free water to middle class is insult to injury to slum dwellers and most slum dwellers get electricity from private sub-meters and so they wont get any discounts , and their bill will increase !!! Solution? See last para
Delhi has 1.2 crore voters and total population of 2.2 crore. But Delhi has only 32 lakh house hold meters, i.e. average of about 7 family members per meters. Now many homes have 0 members (closed flats, and there are lakhs of them), 1-2 family members or just 3-4 family members. So how come there are 7 family members per meter? Thats because in many slum areas, the slumlord has just one electricity meter, and he gives private sub-meters to 100s of slum dwellers or charges flat rate. Now slum lord's bill is above 400 units per month, and so his charges will now increase. He will pass the raise on slum dwellers. And hence electricity bill of many slum dwellers will now increase !!! So in Loksabha elections, they will vote for Congress !!
Plus, the slum dwellers who get water for just 20-30 minutes a day or get erratic tankers will have royal heartburn when they hear that people who live in well to do small houses will get 20000 liters for free, as many with 2-3 members consume below 20000 liters a month !! Further, the commercial water users' rates have increased. So many slums which get water from private commercial tankers will now have to pay MORE for water !!! So these slum voters will be back to Congress, and will vote for Congress with more vengeance.
But a big chunk of former BJP voters who live in small flats will come to AAP, because their electricity bill slightly reduced and they are getting water for free !!!
So across India, paid-media will project AAP as anti-corruption hero. So middle class votes across India will go for AAP. While slum votes will remain with Congress and now Congress will actively tell slum dwellers that "see, AK gave free water to middle class and NOTHING to slum dwellers".
SOLUTION : IMO, all committed nationalists such as BST-workers, RSS-workers, VHP-workers etc should promote law-drafts that will reduce land prices, construction prices and thus enable slum dwellers can buy flats. How? Pls see MRCM draft in chap-5 and wealth tax law-draft in chap-25 of rahulmehta . com / 301.htm . And they should publciize REAL anti-corruption law-drafts like Jury System, Right to recall etc etc.
As long as there are poor, the MNC-owners via paid-media will manage to install fake pro-poor leaders like Congressi and AAP and get votes. As long as there is corruption, MNC-owners via paid-media will manage to install fake heroes like AK. Solution is to promote REAL anti-poverty and anti-corruption law-drafts like RTR, JurySys, MRCM, wealth tax, inheritance tax etc etc
