How large scale fishing may be (may be) increasing carbon dioxide in atmosphere . Solution : international level "MRCM" over fishing .
I was gathering data on how non-veg food gets MUCH HIGHER subsidies per kilogram than veg food. We all know that govt gives subsidies on water, fertilizer, pesticide, tractors, those who raise chickens, those who raise prawns etc . I have now some data to show that non-veg food gets MUCH higher, about 5 times to 20 times more subsidies per kilogram. And so by decreasing all input subsidies and DIRECTLY giving subsidies to grains at ration shop, consumption of all non-veg food can be decreased. There is NO proposal to put heavy tax on non-veg food. The proposals are only to reduce subsidy burdens on govt and ensuing that everyone gets almost same amount of subsidies on food.
So interesting question came --- does fishing cause any imbalance in subsidies? Because fish grow in sea and govt doesnt give any subsidies for fertilizer, water etc in fishing.
So I googled and found more horrible facts !! Fishing drastcaally increases pollution worldwide. How?
1. The fish-cathers mainly catch big fish (length > 5 cm). So population of big fish in ocean decreases
2. So population of small fish exploded
3. The small fish eat vegetation, and so vegetation in ocean disappears
4. This vegetation consumes huge amount of CO2 and so they no longer consume CO2
An analogy for land will be that if we were to kill all lions etc, then population of deers will explode and so forests will deplete. In case of land , it is less true, because deers cant trees because of strong barkl. But in ocean, fish eat whole trees and sp when population of small fish explodes, the whole tree inside ocean will get eaten and whole forest will vanish.
It has been noted that many areas in sea, which were formerly green at bottom, have now become deserts !! There is no piece of greenery left.

This would require an international agreement that each country can fish only X kilogram of fish per month per person, as per population of 1981. X will depend on how much fishing load oceans can sustain without loss of vegetation. And population of 1981 has to be taken, as countries which didnt control population should get no benefit. Say X is 50 kg. And population of India in 1981 was 80 crore. Then India can fish 4000 crore kg of fish per month. The quota will be puchased by individual fishiers and they cant fish more than that. Inside nation, each citizen will have quota of 50 kg, which he may sell to any fishier. OR, there will per kilogram royalty fishier will have to pay to society and it will be EQUALLY divided amongst all citizens. Basically, this is MRCM over fishing !! So those who are NOT eating fish will benefit while those who eat fish will have to pay extra. Cost of fish will increase. Gain? Total fishing decreases. Gain? The vegetation in ocean will increase and CO2 level in atmoshpere will reduce. But unless there is international agreement, such quota system is useless.
I will spend few more hours, give drafts of the laws that can reduce higher subsidies that non-veg food gets and reduce the damage excessive fishing is creating, and then end. I have topics at hand which I think are more important (Bangladeshies, weakening of maths\science education, weakening of Indian Military, Ram Janam Bhoomi, Krishna Hanam Bhoomi, Kashi Vishvanath, starting "order your MP via SMS campaign" etc etc). Those who are keen on Jivadaya can persure it further.
