Rahul Mehta Gandhinagar LsCandidate

old news of feb-2011 : Ford Foundation and Arvind Gandhi made Shanti Bhushan and Santosh Hegde members of Lokpal draft committee so that Kiran Bediji can be excluded !! So that Kiran Bediji gets minimal limelight, because Kiran Bediji is supporter if Swami ramdevji and NaMo !!

On after 4 days of Anna's paid-media-hyped fast, on 7-feb-2011, senior Congress Minister Kapil Sibal announced that Govt will form committee of 5 Ministers and 5 activists of Anna to discuss Lokpal draft. I was expecting that 5 Anna's member would be Anna, Kiran Bedji, Arvindbhai, Prashan Bhushan and someone else. But when names came on 8-feb-2011, Kiran Bedji's name was missing. And what was shocking was that list had Shanti Bhushan , who was over 80 years old, and was not needed on committee at all given that his son Prashant was there. And Santosh Hegde was back then was sitting Karnataka Lokayukt was also there. AI wondered why Shanti Bhushan and Santosh Hegde were there. Later it became clear --

1. Ford Foundation and Arvindbhai had decided to keep Kiran Bediji out so that she gets minimal limelight

2. Now if a junior person and less qualified person was included, then it would become obvious to all that she has been bypassed

3. So it was necessary to keep two senior qualified person, and so Arvindbhai decided to have Shanti Bhushan and Santosh hedge

4. Kiranji was excluded mainly because she was supporter of Swami Ramdevji and NaMo (and vice versa i.e. Sami Ramdevji and NaMo also support her)

Otherwise, Kiran Bediji was very very qualified to be in Lokpal draft committee. And it would have been good to have a woman member, not because I support reservation for woman, but because she is well qualified. She was there in IAC from start. But she was excluded

Kiranji has been pro-BJP anti-Congress for long. Which is why Congress had blocked her promotions. Kiranji would have joined BJP in 2010. But it was Sushma Swaraj , Vijay Goel etc who blocked her entry !! And LKA also agreed in blocking Kiranji's entry into BJP because Kiranji had been pro-Ramdev and pro-NaMo. And in 2010, NaMo wasnt all-powerful in BJP and so NaMo couldn't do much. So is quite natural that in such case, Kiranji will be upset and would look for some alternative way to serve nation and make difference. Under this moment of confusion, she got into wrong company of anti-India people like Arvind Gandhi, Shanti Bhusan, Prashant Bhsuan, Hegde, Anna etc.

Kiranji was under impression that IAC would expose all corrupt deals, which would hurt Congress and also hurt corrupt BJP MPs. In fact, RSS also believed the same which is why RSS supported IAC from feb-2011 to almost a year. But only later she came to know that Arvind Ghandy and Sonia Ghandy had a la-Chiranjeevi pact that Arvind Ghandy will form a party, which will look better than BJP, and cut pro-NaMo educated voters and thus help Congress increase its seat count !!! If Kiranji had known this sinister design in the beginning, Kiranji would have never worked with Arvind Ghandy.

To this whole mess, biggest blame should go on BJP's Sushma Swarak, LKA, Vijay Goel etc. They had blocked Kiranji's entry into BJP in 2010. Each one had his motive. Sushma didnt want any woman is more qualified than her. Vijay Goel rightly saw Kiranji as possible Delhi CM and he didnt want any competition --- party can go to hell. And LKA didnt want Kiranji because she was pro-Ramdev and pro-NaMo, and also LKA needed Sushmaji's support in blocking NaMo.

Now it is too late for Kiranji to help Delhi-BJP. Delhi-BJP is lost cause. Delhi BJP leaders have ruined it completely. It will now get less votes than AAP.

Now Kiranji will probably join BJP after oct-2012 Delhi assembly elections and become BJP LS candidate. Or BJP will support her as independent. She will almost surely win. Because she is popular in IAC\AAP, AAP will not put any candidate against Kiranji. After LS elections, Kiranji will support NaMo (she is NaMO supporter even today).

Solution I propose is inner party democracy act. The activists should work to enact a law that if a party as Assembly\Parliament seat, then within that seat, the office bearer will have to be elected. And if party has more than 5% votes in state, then its state president will be elected. And if party has more than 3% votes in India, then its national president will be elected. Had that been the case, BJP party members would have kicked out Vijal Goel long back in 2010, and made Kiranji Delhi BJP State President. And Delhi BJP would not have rotted. And AAP wouldnt have come at all.
