Contrast sensor can be used to know if voter is standing or has walked away.

Say votet is standing and say light intensity is 50 lux and say CR is 35

( CR = contrast ratio )

Now for same paper , say voter moves away , and say light intensity becomes 200 lux. So for same paper print, light intensity will decrease and may become 20
.
So contrast sensor may be used by vvpat software to know if voter is still standing or has walked away.
