Delhi Gymkhana occupied approximately 27.3 acres of prime Lutyens’ Delhi land under a perpetual lease granted in 1928 during British rule and paid annual rent of INR 1000 only.
Reportedly they paid about ₹34 per month in ground rent for nearly 11.9 lakh sq ft (27.3 acres) of prime Lutyens’ Delhi land for about 95 years, from 1928 until the lease revision in 2023.
Real Estate is EXPENSIVE in India only and only due to bad laws and unfair allocation by the government.
Solution is simple:
1.Send Direct Orders to PM/CM to make list of all land plots owned by government and semi-govt body public with FSI and PSF rent details. No influencer or journalist supports this as they are paid to decoy you.
2.Remove 18% GST and implement 1% empty land tax on principles of Georgism so hoarding
3.After (1), order govt to give all land parcels on rent as per fair market value and distribute the rent collected equally among all citizens.
Remember, this is just 1 plot in 1 city, there must be lacs of such examples we don't know yet!!
