Many poor women who have abusive husband leave home and have no option but to live with other man. She has no money to pay rent and live on her own.

Now most non violent non criminal men will refuse to live with her. So she will have less choice or may have to live with criminal who isnt worried about facing false or true case !!!

All in all, an anti-Thomas person will also make a mess and them increase the mess.
