Why did sponsors of Nitish kumar asked Nitish to resign?

Nitish kumar was pro evm anti ballot paper crook. He was also against right to recall. So lets not worry about a bigger thug beating smaller thug

He resigned because his sponsors - desi videshi elutemem who pay for his media coverage and election expenses - asked him to resign.

So why did his sponsors asked him to resign and handover control to Modi?

I dont know for sure. But firm control under one man is often needed to wage wars.
