1992 से बूथ लूटने की घटनाओं में कमी कमी आने लगी , क्योंकि चुनावों में पुलिस की संख्या बढाई गयी एवं स्थानीय पुलिस के स्थान पर CRPF जैसे पुलिस बल का इस्तेमाल किया जाने लगा। इसके अलावा 2003 से चुनाव अधिकारियो को कैमरे मुहैया कराए गए। तो बूथ लूटने की घटनाओं में कमी आने की वजह EVM नहीं थी।

EVM एवं बेलेट बॉक्स का प्रयोग करने या न करने का बूथ लूटने की घटनाओं से कोई सम्बन्ध नहीं। बूथ कैप्चरिंग एक प्रशासनिक विषय है।

Booth capturing reduces from 1992 onwards because police presence increased, non local policemen such as CRPF was used, number of policemen per booth increased and from 2003 onwards, camera were give to ECI staff.

Ballot box cant prevent a goon from taking over. But neither can EVM.
