Rajyasabha election cum circus at Gujarat.

Since ages, the solution I have proposed are
.
(1) remove scrap rajsabha COMPLETELY --- it is useless. And enable PM to appoint Ministers who are NOT necessarily LS members. And let PM appoinr 12 NON-VOTING members in Loksabha, 1 person every 4 months with term of 4 years.

(2) and if voters still see need of RS, then voters should DIRECTLY elect RS members (similar to USA) instead of corrupt MLAs electing RS members
.
And this is NOT today. These proposals have been in RRP manifesto since year 2006 and even before.

Today, MLAs are given whips on whom they should vote for. And they lose MLA term if them defy whip. And MLAs ask for hefty bribes for cross voting and not voting, and even to obey the whip ---- they ask for bribes !!
.
And in most cases, the party apex leaders agree for no-voting by fixing.
.
So its time we elect RS MPs directly using PROPORTIONATE VOTING. Or better, just scrap RS for good.
