Did Alexander defeat King Aambhi? Did he defeat Puru = Porus? Did he manage to come till banks of river Yamuna? Or was he defeated by Porus and had to leave back?

There are 100s of INDIAN texts, parts of which were written in 350 BC to 300 BC era and some parts were written later
.
A Telugu scholar Late Sri Vedula Suryaarayana Sarma studied 10s of these Indian texts, and also some western texts. But the book he had written in 2010 namely "Arya Chanakya" is largely based on Indian texts written in 300 BC era..
.
This book says that Alexander had conequered most of the area West of Yamuna.
.
Some of the books are Sri Vedula Sarma had referred to are ---
.

The book Arya Chanakya is in Telugu. A person named "RamaY" translated some of the pages and had uploaded them on a forum bharat-rakshak . com . The link to his thread is in first comment. You will need to create a login on that website. Pls dont ask me how to create login.

The writings of above 23 Indian texts very clearly show that Alexender had come till Yamuna and had defeated and Indian Kings in between, And he had befriended them as wlel and added in alliance so as to beat next kings. eg He used Ambhi to defeat Porus and then he was using Porus to defeat many other kings, and was also going to use Prous and his Army to cross Yamuna and attack Magadh. But he could not cross Yamuna.

.
Now some "references" that say that Alexender never attacked Ambhi and returned after defeating Persian Kings. Some "references" say that Alexnder was defeated by Puru = Porus and he had to return back.

Sri Vedula Suryaarayana Sarma has also referred to some English Western books, but not used them as main reference,. His main references are Indian texts written in 300 BC era

The serial Chanakaya made by RSS-worker Chandraprakash Dwivedi (and there is nothing wrong in his being RSS-worker) in 1990s also used mostly Indian references. That serial also shows that Alexander had defeated Porus and had come to the bank of Yamuna from where he went back.
.
Why did Alexander go back?
.
Some say that he went back because Puru had defeated him !! Some indications are , he went back because (a) Magadh had huge force of elephants and he had only recently figured out how to defeat elephants, and that technique needed 100s of trained horses which he didnt have back then (b) He had started with 50000 Greek soldiers - and most were dead or injusred or tired and had too much of gold they had looted and so had no desire to fight now.
.
Alexander's plan was to go back to Greece and come back with 10 times the force. He had enough gold now to recruit 500,000 soldiers and train 10000s of horses to fight against elephants. But he died on his way back intIraq.

Many Western "scholars" today want Indians to believe that everything in India was from from 700 BC till 700 AD , and even after, and so that present day Indians dont work to understand the weaknesses in Indian administration back them. So their take is -- Alexnder won battles because of treachery and not strength, And some say - Alexender never won any battle in India. And it goes on and on. The same scholars also say that Indian Kings lost against Muslims Kings not due to weaknesses but ONLY because Muslims Kings fought unethically !! And Indian Kings lost against British, again, not due to weaknesses but ONLY because British fought unethically !! So all that is needed is Indian rulers who are "alert" !! There is no reason to fix ills in administration etc.

Many Indian texts written in 300 BC era emphasis that Alexander had defeated Indian Kings in Afghanistan region and had defeated Puru. There is famous incidence where Chanakya himself went to Magadh King Nanda and asked to provide help to defeat Alexnder and Nanda had refused (citing that it is problem of kings of Punjab etc and not his problem).. If Puru had defeated Alexander had if Alexender had retreated, then did Chanakya asked Nanda to provide help?
.
And Chandragupta had fought against Generals left by Alexander, Chandragupta never fought Alexander directly,. Thats because Alexander left India in 324 BC and died in 323 BC. The Indians Kings in Western area were NOT showing courage to fight against Greek Generals (called as sartaps aka kshatraps) left behind by Alexander,. And so acharyas and people started looking for other leader. And thats where Chandragupta became leader and later Kings. Later, his Army under guidance of Chanakya grew. He became popular because he could drive out many Greek sartaps. And later, with his army, he attacked Magadh and defeated Nanda in 321 BC, and was coronated as King.
.
The whole rise of Chandragupta is attributed to the fact that acharya and commons of rank and file rallies behind Chandragupta because the Kings and Nobles had refused to fight against Alxender's Kshatrap. So if Puru had defeated Alexander and Greek Army, then why did people across Western Kingdons rallied behind Chandragupta?
.
Alexander was planning to go back to Greece and come back with 10 times bigger Army. And now he had enough gold to do that. And he had also figured out way to defeat elephants. But he died in Iraq,. Course of history could have been different if he had survived long

I am putting some quotes from the book Arya Chanakya as translated from Telugu to English here. The reader can decide on his own whether Alexnder had defeated Porus or was he defeated by Puru = Porus and went back.
