Why pictures with political messages are useless. And why tweets are BETTER options

Many activists suggest that we should ask supporters of a cause to keep some postor / pamphlet in hand and take their pictures, and post them in profile of activist, as a proof that that citizen has supported the cause.
.
Because thanks to photoshop, such pictures will have NO trust. eg I can make picture of Donald Trump with any message say "India should bring Right to Recall Supreme Court judge law in India". How much trust will that picture generate?

So alternative I propose is that --- we should ask citizen-supporter to put a tweet with appropriate link and hashtag on HIS twitter account, abd the activist should keep LINKS to that voter's tweet in a list. The tweet on account of citizen's own account is a proof that he is supporter.
.
So pictures are now useless. What "counts" is only tweets on citizens' own accounts.
