Gorakshaks may have contested elections and disturbed "Hindu electoral unity". And so finishing political influence of gorakshaks had become necessary for NaMo. BJP-leaders and RSS-workers so that all Hindu voters stay with NaMo , BJP, RSS

And so NaMo and RSS-workers are labeling them as criminal and arresting them.

For RSS-workers, the MOST important thing is --- all hindu votes must remain united (and must go to BJP !!!). This is THE MOST important thing for them.

All Hindu voters are pro-cow,. And for some, cow is no. 1 issue. IOW, they would vote for those and those only who have worked to protect cows.

All these voters in Gujarat voted for NaMo from 2002 till now. And all these voters voted for NaMo in may-2014. But apparently, cow slaughter didnt reduce by much.

And so the street fighting gorakshaks were becoming heroes in the eyes of many, if not all, pro-cow Hindu voters.

And many gorakshaks would have contested elections in years to come.

This would have created a split in Hindu votes, And so finishing political influence of gorakshaks was necessary for NaMo, BJP-leaders and RSS-workers, who dont want a split in Hindu votes.

In addition, Missionaries wanted gorakshaks to weaken, because gorakshaks are also stopping conversions. Saudi Arabia wanted gorakshaks to weaken because they stop love jihad. So all three joined hands, and created this narrative that "gorakshaks beat dalit and 80% gorakshaks are criminals" !!!

Across India, now you will see 100s and 1000s of gorakshaks getting arrested and losing their influence.

This is similar to what happened in year 2000, From 1990 to 1998, BJP was supporting Swadeshi outfits like ABA = Azadi Bachao Andolan and activists like Rajiv Dixitjee. By jan-2000, it became clear that BJP has ditched Swadeshi agenda and become MNC-supporter. But BJP wanted to ensure that Swadeshi voters stay with BJP. So BJP started politically finish ABA and decrease influence of activists like Rajiv Dixitjee. No arrests were possible, because these activists did NOTHING violent and did nothing illegal. But apex industrialists were told to not to give them any funds to hold meetings etc. And the industrialists etc who were helping them were threatened in tax raids. All in all, ABA and Dixitjee etc lost their influence by year 2001-2002.

The same story will now repeat --- all gorakshaks not affiliated with RSS will be arrested, labeled as criminals by mediamen etc, and rumors will be circulated that they all take commissions from kasai. That way, they wont be able to cut many Hindu votes in coming elections. And so RSS-workers' goal of "keeping Hindu voters united" will fulfilled.
