NaMo's BA degree

Delhi Univ has refused to give a stamped statement that "NaMo gave BA exams in 1978 and got degree in 1979" . And ArGandhi has refused to file PIL on this matter.

DU only gave a loose press statement which has zero legal value. And certificates which Arun Jetley showed have zero value too. Anyone can photoshop such certificates.

So may be, NaMo did give exam and did get a genuine degree. Or may be he did not. But whole thing looks very fishy.

Because 1975-1977 were emergency years and there was warrant on NaMo's head and he was running from here to there in disguise. And this warrant was NOT due to NaMo's fault --- emergency was wrong decision. The emergency dates are july-1975 to feb-1977. So I doubt if NaMo could have given exams under that circumstances between july-1975 till feb-1977. He could have given exams in after feb-1977 and in 1978. But then, when did NaMo give first year BA exams? In 1975? Or before 1975? Then it looks more fishy,. Because back then , he used to work mostly in Gujarat. So why did he enroll in DU and not Gujarat Univ for some course like BA which is offered in every university? Also, Du would use Hindi as medium and Gujarat Univ would use Gujarati as medium. Any normal student will generally prefer to give BA exams in his native languge. So language wise and place wise, a student from Gujarat living in Gujarat would prefer Gujarat Univ over DU for BA.

So dates dont add up.

And the fact that DU refuses to give OFFICIALLY stamped statement makes it look fishier.

Anyway, my proposal is that ALL univs should be required to make list of ALL graduates starting 1-jan-1951 public, and a central website at UGC should keep all records in searchable way. That will put an end to degree of NaMo and many others. Because from what my lawyer friends tell me, more than 10% of PRACTICING lawyers dont have any BA / LLB !!! So fake degree is not new in India.
