Say we recallists have managed to convince over 45 crore voters to send order to MP via SMS to print TCP, MRCM, JurySys, wealth tax, RTR etc drafts. Say the SMS have URLs as well as md5 hashes of the drafts.

And say we dont have even one recallist to contest next MP election..

Then will sending SMS from 45 crore voters be SUFFICIENT to get Tcp , JurySys, MRCM, wealth tax etc DRAFTS printed in Gazette ?

Well, one argument , against election contesting , goes as follows ----
.
1. Say activists do NOT contest elections, but put all money and time to convince over 45 crore voters to send orders to MPs via SMS .

2. Say citizens do get convinced and do send orders to Mps via SMS

3. Then it will be SUFFICIENT . i.e. these SMSes and resulting movement will be FORCEFUL ENOUGH that MPs will be force dto print TCP etc law-drafts

4. Hence election contesting is NOT needed

IOW, MPs will NOT have room to cite flaws and challenge activists, The force that 45 crore voters will create will feel MPs so threatened that they will print these law-drafts

Hence election contesting isnt needed.

The logic does have some merit. (a) Election contesting causes internal rivalry and divisions. (b) And election contesting also needs a lot of money and time. (c) And election contesting will also reduce number of activists !! WHY? Lets say some Congress , BJP , AAP , RSS etc workers like RTR and decide to work to convince voters to send SMS. But if they realize that we are contesting elections, then he will see that his activity to convince voters will cut CoBhAp voters to RRP. So he may reduce work to publicize RTR-drafts. This is real --- I know many activists who no longer now campaign for RTR because they fear that I will cut BJP votes !!

Election contesting is clone negative. And it has 3 damages I cited.

So we need to show that election contesting causes MORE benefits than damages. Or, we may need to show that election contesting is MUST to get RTR-law-drafts passed.
