Two MOST questions in world / Indian history of 1600 AD to now are --- (Q1) why is USUK far far ahead of India? (Q2) And why is India / USUK strength ratio worsening day by day? Answers differ. IMO , reasons are -- multi-elections, Right to recall, Jury System, Referendum system, wealth tax, lack of VAT \ GST \ excise etc. RSS says that it is due to "national character" . Political Superstition aka Political Science professors say it is due to Political Culture.

In 950 AD, UK was behind India in wealth and every respect. However, after 950 AD , UK had steadily been rising. UK took over large part of world. Modern day USA and Canada is mostly UK (and later Germany and other Ireland, Italy). And USA has always been no. 1 since 1800 AD in manufacturing and innovation. And gap between USUK and India has been rising , even after 1947, except for some setbacks that occurred due to WW1 and WW2.
