The news that "KS got nobel for resucing 80000 children from servitude" will now inform everyone in world, that lakhs and perhaps crores of children in India live in servitude and bondage !!
.
There are many activists in USA who work for Africans Americans aka blacks who have been serving years and years of dubious prison sentence under the so called "war on marijuana" !! But nobel committee didnt even consider them for prize, as giving them publicity would have informed all that a massive problem of falsely imprisoning African Americans does exist in USA.
.
Likewise, many had been trying save lives in Iraq when USA was bombing every square inch. But nobel committee decided not to reward their work as that would have given a very negative impression on all, that bombing by USA for Iraqi oil is killing many people in Iraq.

So it is difficult to guess the motives of members of nobel committe --- did they picked Kailash Satyarthi to honor him or did they picked Kailash Satyarthi to do a hit job on India's image?

There is enough punishment in IPC etc on those who impose servitude on children. But judges rarely impose these punishments. eg a swiss billionaire had abused three eight year old girls in India, and supreme court judge Khare gave him bail so that he can escape out of India !!! Such judgments only increase servitude of children in India. IOW, an important reason why he problem exists is because the judges in India are corrupt, and also because we have only 20000 courts while we need 200,000 courts. And biggest reason why we have servitude on children in poverty. Solution to poverty is that minerfal royalties should be directly deposited in accounts of the citizens, as solution most activists oppose because they fear that supporting this proposal would reduce the highlight they get in paidmedia and international circuits.

So the problem of child servitude and abuse of children is real. And those who wish to reduce the problem should focus on law-drafts like JurySys, DDMRCAM , increasing number of courts from 20000 to 200000 , RTR Police Commissioner etc. The worst way to reduce the problem is private activism --- it can fetch glory, but no solution. example consider the problem of hunger deaths. The problem got solved by ration card system, and NOT by private charities running free food programs. Same way , solution to problem of child servitude is aw-drafts like JurySys, DDMRCAM , increasing number of courts from 20000 to 200000 , RTR Police Commissioner etc and NOT private activism. Nobel committe members cant be expected to solve our problem. They merely do their job of selecting "right" person or doing hit job on image of a country, whichever is their motives IYO. But we should focus on solution, and not positive or negative publicities. And we should focus on publicizing the law-drafts needed to reduce the mess.
