AK didnt allow AAP leaders in Gujarat to contest 9 MLA byelections and Baroda Loksabha byelectio, which weren held on 14-sep-2014 recently . REASON : AK doenst want any leader in AAP to rise !! Result --- Time of volunteers got wasted awat.
.
AAP had got 2% to 4% votes in Gujarat Loksabha may-2014. This was all despite NaMo wave. AAP has 100-200 volunteers in each Assembly constituency now and over 2000 volunteers in Baroda Loksabha constituency. They work for free and contribute their own money. They have been working for IAC/AAP for now over 3.5 years. They worked for IAC/AAP because they want to reduce corruption.
.
On 14-sep-2014. one Loksabha byelection namely Baroda and 9 Assembly and were held in Gujarat. The volunteers , supporters , sponsors and donors were all willing to contribute their time and money to contest elections. Candidate were also ready . They didnt demand any money from head office. Despite them, AK refused to send them "mandates" i.e. permission of party to contest election. If AAP volunteers had contested this sep-2014 elections, then AAP would have gained more name and support. But despite this, AK refuse.
.
The important reason was --- some of them would have got as much as 5% to 10% votes. And thus they would have become more prominent in AAP nationwide amongst AAP workers. They could have worked as competitor to AK. And so AK refused to give them tickets.
.
All in all, AAPians in Gujarat wasted their past 3.5 years. They worked for 3.5 years to create alternative to Congress and BJP, and now all they have is a leader who himself is hell bent on stopping other leaders from rising,
.
Solution I propose is --- nothing. Leave AK ASAP. Join some group that at least doesnt stop you from contesting elections.
