Sunday Guardian newspaper says that farmers in Andhra Pradesh are not getting even Rs 10 per kg for tomatoies and some are throwing it away due to lack of buyers !!! (see link in first comment) . The retail prices in Ahmedabad is Rs 80 per kg .

How reliable is this newspaper and news? I dont know for sure. But if true, then this proves that vegetable prices are artificially kept hig. During UP days, it was Pawar, and now it could be Gadakari. But the mafia is still alove and kicking.

The solution I propose is to print following law-draft.
.
1. Any person can buy any amount of foodstuff from farmer/anyone.
.
2. Any person can ship any amount of foodstuff from anywhere to anywhere inside India.
.
The states may charge exit tax to cover the subsidies they have paid for.
.
Only registrations would be needed. No licensing will be needed.
.
As of now, in most/many states, one needs license to but goods from farmers !!! And then one needs licence to move food from one state to another state !! And using above two laws, people like Pawar of Gadakaru manage to block free trade inside India, and manage to keep prices high. .

If we dont change law-drafts, then only change we will see is that first Pawar was running food mafia, now Gadakari is running food mafia and next some Jindal will run food mafia once AAP comes into power. And thats whay AAP = AK is also opposing the above two law-drafts and proposal that voters should order MPs via SMS to remove restrictions on internal food trade..

If those who want to this mess to reduce should order MPs via SMS to print TCP-draft in Gazette. For draft, please see section-1.3. of rahulmehta . com / 301.htm . Once TCP comes, within few weeks , we can get the drafts printed that would remove all internal trade restrictions.
