Japense FDi upto 26% railway started in 2011 with Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor . Later it was later raised to 50%. DMIC's profit repatriation can worsen the forex crunch. Solution is to print law that will add export commitments for repatriation.

Basically, normal technology tracks are used and normal trains will be used for goods. It has some 25% FDI from Japanese. So GoI will have to give dollars for 25% of profits, And later in 2013, FDI was raised to 50%/. And just as Suzuki later took over 100% of Maruti, it is possible that Japanese may take over 100% of DMIC in future.

So as of now, 25% of DMIC railways is not only private, but belongs to foreigners, Now railway is monopoly, and so price hike is piece of cake. And freight transport doesnt generate any exports by itself. It makes it cheaper for exporters to export, but it also makes it cheaper for importers to import.. So DMIC will not generate any net forex, and will become drain on forex.

FDI in DMIC was brainchild of Congress= Sonia. But BJP = NaMo and AAP=AK are all supporting it. RSS-apex,, RSS-workers and BST-workers too are supporting FDI in DMIC. And CoBhApSwaRa and SoNaKe also oppose the proposal to print law-draft to tie FDI repatriation with exports, .

SoNaKe and CoBhApSwaRa say that railways need capital, technology and so we need FDI. Well, we have all the technology we need except fast engines. Developing fast engines will take 3-4 years . And meanwhile, we can import engines. But we have all technology for frieght train. We only need capital , and that can be obtained from wealth tax and inheritance tax, and we dont need FDI for that at all.
Solution : So solution I propose is that we should end FDI in railways for good.. I would request ALL to send orders to MPs via SMS to end FDI in railways. And if you are serious about removing FDI in railways, then I request that you MUST attend CoBhApSwaRa meetings and raise this issue there. and you will realize that SoNaKe, SoNaKe-andhbhagats and CoBhApSwaRa all support FDI in railways and they only want to waste your time my anti-FDI-slogan-shouting.
