Nitin Gadakari says he will plant 200 crore trees across 100,000 km highways. Does he need a calculator?

Please google on Nitin Gadakari trees highway. He says that he plans to plant 200 crore trees along the national highways. which are about 93000 km = approx 1 lakh km long.

if distance between two trees is 5 meters , then 1 km will have at most 1000/5 = 200 trees.

So 1 lakh km will have at most 200 lakh trees = at most 2 crore tree, and that. And so both sides can have 4 crore trees at most. That is assuming no portion of whole national highway network is left uncovered.

Now say several trees are planted along the line perpendicular to highway, Then also there needs to be at least 50 trees on both sides, along every line perpendicular to the highway. This will take 250 meters on each side of the road. So much land around highway doesnt belong to govt !!!

IOW, Minister needs a calculator.
