Laloo may not be able contest elections. And I say it is BAD NEWS. Why? well, today it is Laloo, tomorrow it can be Amit Shah or even NaMo !! So pls dont rejoice. Solution I propose --- pls order your MPs via SMS to print Jury System draft and Right to Recall judges draft in the Gazette. (and all major parties including AAP has opposed RTR-judges and Jury Sys)
I saw many NaMo fans rejoicing on imprisonment of Laloo. Little do they know that Laloo and BJP were contemplating unofficial seat sharing or rather seat-fixing to subvert possible official or unofficial congress-Nitish seat sharing or seat-fixing. And that aside, what is worse, is that NaMo-fans seem to assume that corrupt judges ill never convict Amit Shah or NaMo !! Well, lets say they wont. But the MNC-owners who own these judges can surely force both leaders to make compromises. And MNC-owners and Missionaries via judges can also force many many more leaders to do many compromises by using conviction as a threat.
eg say Mamta Banerjee is opposing Walmart. Then Walmart (via Supreme judges) can threaten to get conviction against many Trinamool MPs, and thus force Mamta to bow down.
Now I agree that Laloo should have been imprisoned looooong back. But not via corrupt judges , but via Jury System and narco-test in public. And better, there should have been NO subsidy for fodder. Let cow-owners buy fodder at market rate and govt should only give subsidy on final grains, pulses, sugar and oil at ration shop. The leakage in subsidy on grains, pulses, sugar and oil at ration shop can be ended by RTR-District-Supply-Officer. And when citizens get cheaper grains, pulses, sugar and oil, their ability to buy milk at higher unsubsidized prices will increase.
Anyway, I don't want to add economics in status, though bad economics is often a reason behind corruption.
Coming to "enabling judges to debar MP by using conviction as a tool" is going to create far far more damage than any good.
