Steps you can take - if you have applied for voter-card but voter-card hasnt come

1. Pls check on online voter list. If your name is there in online voter list, that means your card was issued but is in transit or lost in dept !! So dont worry, you can still vote. Just take print-out form online voter-list.

2. Where to find online voter-list -- different states have different URLs. The URL to Gujarat online voter list is in first comment. I dont have urls for other states. Pls google or ask others. Pls DO NOT ASK ME.

3. If you cant find name in online voter-list, then pls enter voter# of say father or mother , and click on "show family" if there is any such button, and you may see your name !! Now please note that all states DO NOT have "show family" feature !! If this feature is there, then you will find it useful.

4. If your name isnt there in online voter list, then pls go to Tahsildaar's officer or collector's office with xerox of voter-id of father/mother and the copy/reciept of the form you had filled.
