About Chinranjeev Ghandy of Andhra Pradesh , adopted son of Soorpankha Ghandy, and how he fooled anti-Congress voters of AP in year 2009 , and how he thus helped Congress by forming Aam Aadmi Party ... naa sorry ... Praja Rajyam Party
YSR was the most corrupt CM in India. And he used to sponsor criminals left , right and center. Due to his Due to corruption and crimes , many voters of AP were becoming anti-Congress.
To ensure that anti-Congress votes do not go to BJP or TDP, Soorpankha Ghandy , who is avtaar of Ravan's sister Soorpankha, adopted Chiranjeev as his adopted son. MNC-owners and Missionaries also paid huge monies to paid-mediamen to highlight Chiranjeev Ghandy as " new reformer" who will turn whole AP and then India . To stop anti-Congress votes from going into BJP/TDP, Chiranjeev Ghandy floated Praja Rajyam Party. His motto was to fight against corruption !! His famous statement was "Congress corrupt, BJP corrupt, TDP corrupt and so vote for Aam Aadmai Party ... naa sorry .. Praja Rajyam Party". Pls see wikipedia page of "Praja Rajyam Party". Essentially, his script was ditto same as Arvind Ghandy , another adopted son of Soorpankha Ghandy, except that Chiranjeev Ghandy gave speech in Telugu where as Arvind Ghandy gives speech in Hindi\English and sometimes also in Urdu\Arabic.
So anti-Congress voters of AP saw Chiranjeev Ghandy as alternative, and he took away whopping 15% votes in Andhra Pradesh Loksabha-2009 as well as Assembly-2009 election !! Congress got over 30 of the 42 Loksabha seats an also got some 2/3rd majority in AP Assembly.
Two years later, Praja Rajyam Party merged with Congress. Chinranjeev Ghandy said that he had formed PRP to fight against corruption, but now that congress is doing great work (!) in fighting against coruption, his party members and his voters want him to merge PRP with Congress !!! And Soorpankha Ghandy in return made his adopted son Chinranjeev Ghandy Tourism Minister in Central Govt !!
So much for anti-Congressism !!
